Come join Anglespur for a lovely camping weekend among the tall trees and eldritch woods of our own "Sherwood Forest"! 

Please drive slowly in the campground.  The speed limit is 5mph.  Also, please check in at gate when you arrive. 

Fencing, Heavy List, Archery, Thrown Weapons, Bardic Competition, Family Point, Forester's Guild activities, and a well-rounded schedule of A & S classes will all be a part of the weekend.  Themed tournaments with prizes will be held for each arena. 

Kinyon's Canyon has come a long ways since the first year we held our event there...  members of our shire have worked together with the site owner to make sure all amenities for camping will be present - flushies, hot showers, and access to the aether, all available to our attendees.

Bring your friends to enjoy warm fires, joyous circles for story and song among our beautiful fall leaves.

Site is wet.  Bring your brews to share and enjoy!

Bardic Competition
Are you the next Alan-a-Dale?
Come join us for a Forest Bardic Circle.  Share with us your stories or songs about Robin Hood, Sherwood Forest, Outlaws, Heroes, or Minstrels.  Don't have a piece that fits the theme? That's ok, come perform your best piece of any category.  We will have a themed and an unthemed competition. 

Archery Tournament
Bring your bows!  Bring your arrows!  Bring a costume! 
The Sheriff of the Anglespur Forest is holding a tournament and the prize is a golden arrow!  But there are whispers that it's a trap to catch Outlaws.  So come shoot in disguise.  Be creative, draw inspiration from anywhere.  But be safe, make sure your vision is not impaired, and that you can shoot safely and comfortably.  The archer with the best costume gets 10 points added to their score.

Fencing Classes Schedule in Detail
10:30 Fencing Class "Analyzing the Fight”“Analyzing the Fight”

With the consent and permission of fighters, we will analyze the strength and weaknesses of fighters, analyzing stance, footing, learn such things such as “claiming ground”, taking a deeper dive into offense and defense and how they manifest in a fight.  No shade will be thrown on the fighters, this is for the betterment of our own community. 

Objective:  analyzing how others fight helps improve our own fencing and prepares us to be observant of techniques and styles in other fighters.  No equipment is required.

In this class, we will be covering the basic guards of the Lichtenauer system, movement, and the master cuts.

You don't need to know anything about the long sword

You will need
Fencing Mask
Gorget
Padded Gloves
A long sword ( some will be available to use )

Heavy List:  Saturday
There are 2 formats planned, based on fighter attendance;

Robin of the Hood and their merry band, a warlord-style tournament to see who shall lead the defenders of the Forest
or
The Round-Robin (hood) tournament at the bridge:  "None shall pass"

Family Point
Will be open 10 am-12noon and 2pm-4pm both Saturday and Sunday.  Classes and activities will be open for all ages, including adults.  Younger participants will need a parent or person of age as per SCA rules.  Activities will include games, stone wrapping, simple and a little more detailed beading, and origami, just to name a few, and will be offered as interest is shown.
