Brennan & Caoilfhionn's Ducal Challenges

Their Grace's Brennan and Caoilfhionn are proud to annouce Ducal Challenge hosted by the Barony of Settmour Swamp.

With this tournament for rattan and rapier comes prowess for all participants both fighters and artisans alike.

In order to enter the tournament, one must contribute an art by their own hand or one they had ccommissioned.

Tournament formats for both rattan and rapier will include round robin pools (size depending on entrants).  Semifinals will be fought as double elimination.  The finals will be fought with rotating weapons forms.

The winner of the tournament will have first pick of the prizes for that tournament.  The second prize pick will go to the artist/sponsor of the first prize picked.  Then, the second finalist in the tournament will pick, and so on.

Prize suggestions include (but are not limited to):
- Armor pieces
- Inkle Trim / Tablet Woven Trim
- Appropriate artwork
- Banners
- Glass beads
- Jewelry
- Garb
- Feast Gear/Pottery
- Woodwork

Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events.  By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks.  You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.  Hand Sanitizer will be available.

A dayboard will be included with entry fee.
