Black Rose Ball

The Barony of the Bridge invites you to the Black Rose Ball, an evening of dance, music, and fellowship celebrating the rich social traditions of the Society for Creative Anachronism.  Set in the historic Westerly Armory, this event offers a spacious hardwood floor and a welcoming atmosphere for dancers of all experience levels, from first-time attendees to seasoned revelers.

The evening will focus on period and period-inspired social dancing, with instruction provided throughout the event.  Participants are encouraged to dress in their finest pre-17th-century attire, whether formal, festive, or fanciful, and to enjoy the shared joy of movement, music, and community that defines a proper Ball.

This is a dry event.  Light food will be available, and attendees are welcome to step off the dance floor to socialize, observe, and relax as space allows.  Courtesy and cooperation among all participants will ensure an enjoyable experience for dancers, instructors, and guests alike.

As with all SCA events, Black Rose Ball is open to the public.  Membership in the SCA is not required to attend.  We look forward to welcoming you for an evening of elegance, camaraderie, and dance.
