Event details
We are happy to announce that we will be hosting East Kingdom Thrown Weapons Champs at the Tournament of Daffodils!
the tournament format will be posted here soon!
As is tradition the Tournament of Daffodils is gallery choice, everyone who comes to the event will be given a flower to present to the fighter (Heavy or Fencing) they found the most inspiring that day. We will have both a Heavy and a Fencing Champion.
The Site is fully outdoors please bring your own seating, pop-ups and pavilions are encouraged
Heavy Fighting: Daffodils Speed Tournaments. We will start the day with a Roman Melee and the winner will choose a new tournament type and we will continue from there.
Any type of tournament will be accepted ( Round Robin, Warlord, Spear, Single Sword, ) if we can facilitate it we will run it!
Please bring your favorite weapons and bring your extra weapons, the more we have the more fun stuff we can do!
Melee/Unbelts: depending on our numbers we would like to run some Melee scenarios / Drills after the tournaments. Members of the unbelt team leadership will be in attendance so I encourage everyone to attend
Fencing: The "Wait and See" Open Tournament In the true spirit of Eastern adaptability, the format for our primary rapier tournament will be determined by the numbers. * A massive Round Robin?
Classic Double Elimination?
A chaotic "Warlord" style? Show up and find out! The more fencers we have, the more glorious the carnage.
The Shenanigans
Because a tournament without a little mischief is just a practice, expect the following diversions throughout the day:
The "Dagger of Destiny" Melee: A secondary side-bout where the only legal weapon is a parrying dagger. Short, fast, and ridiculous.
The Gambler’s Challenge: Want to jump the line? Challenge an opponent to a "Mystery Condition" bout (blindfolded? one leg? reciting poetry?
The Experimental Cut & Thrust: Polearms & Spears: Calling all those who like their steel with a bit of reach! We are hosting an Experimental Cut & Thrust Tournament specifically for Polearms and Spears. Requirements: All participants must meet the current East Kingdom experimental C&T requirements for long-handled weapons. The Goal: To test technique, distance, and the efficacy of the "pointy end" at range.
Youth Combat: we will have youth marshals at the event, activities will depend on the numbers we get
