**** New info on Rapier Combat ****

There will be a one hour, three person team, bear pit, wounds retained, winner stays, spear tournament at Yule from 1-2 pm.  One person on the team may use a rapier and off-hand (big shields allowed) while the rest use spears.  Teams get one point for winning.  Double K.O.s are a double loss.  The team with the most points by the end will be announced at Court and will receive a small prize.

Depending on the number of spears at the event, we may need to hand them off to the next team or just use rapiers instead if there are less than four total spears.  Team size might drop to two people with spears only if attendance is low.

Please bring or have a method to show your fencing authorization cards as our local MOL does not have access to check the database.
Baron Aleksei and Baroness Eleanore especially ask everyone to bring non-perishable items for a Food drive to benefit the Church's pantry and requests you show your holiday spirit by wearing this year's theme colors:  Silver and Gold.  It can be Silver or Gold or a combination of both.  Use your creativity!

PLEASE NOTE THE SITE IS DRY but if you are staying for feast feel free to use your prettiest candles.

You can dedicate the proceeds to either the Barony of Bergental or the Barony Beyond the Mountain!

Things to put in the auction:
Garb (clean and mended),
Fabric (Natural fabrics preferred but not required.  Please include yardage.)
Cool knickknacks!  (just can’t resist them!
Feast gear (food safe, possibly a beginner set?),
Books (historic period related),
Art materials (paints, brushes, vellum-ish paper, rulers, white erasers, stencils, paint, etc.),
Armor (for making or for wearing),
Archery thrown weapons equipment (gloves, tassels for arrow cleaning, quivers, etc),
Services such as cooking a meal, making/fixing/teaching garb, consigned art, private lessons, etc.
If you find items to donate, please bring them (or have them transported) to the event and include a sheet of paper with your name, a description of the item, and (VERY IMPORTANT) a beginning bid amount.  We will have forms at the event for you to fill out.
ALL ITEMS, WON OR NOT, MUST GO HOME WITH YOU!  Please make arrangement to get the item(s) to whatever home where they belong.  Thank you!

If you have any questions or you would like to volunteer to help run the auction, please contact me.  I will be traveling, but I will answer emails.
