The Great BBM Largesse Challenge:
For DSH/BBM Champions Day, Now With Kingdom Thrown Weapons Champions!  Baroness Ciara is once again holding her Largesse challenge.  The goal of this is to inspire the populace to try a new craft, or practice their current favorite, while also donating Largesse to the kingdom and barony.  This Largesse will be bestowed by Their Majesties, as well as Baroness Ciara and Baron Angus to those they wish to recognize.
Largesse does NOT just have to be things you’ve made yourself – it can be purchased items as well.  Largesse items should have a ‘look-and-feel’ representing our modern Middle Ages, but do not need to be exclusively period-informed.  They can also be mundane items of use to those of us in the SCA.
Donate Largesse, participate in this challenge, and be the reason someone has a great event!

There will be three categories to chose from, each with a different number of items requested.  The idea behind this is to encourage you to try something, work on a skill, or show off what you do very well!  To that end, the three categories are:
I Want To Try A Thing!
For this category, please submit 4 items, preferably of a type or skill that is reasonably new to you.  No one is asking you to submit a practice or your first ever attempt of a new craft!  But now is the time to try out that thing that you’ve been eying.
I Do This and I Want To Improve
In this category, we are asking for 7 items to be displayed and donated to the barony of your choosing.  This is the perfect opportunity to try your hand, and put in some practice at a skill you want to improve at!
Look What I Can Do
You know you know how to do this!  You know the ins and outs of this item or skill or craft, and we want to see it!  Come show us 13 items and display your skills with the knowledge that you are contributing to your Kingdom and Barony.
If you would like to participate, and have more than 4, but less than 7, or 13, please feel free to display and donate your items.  All donations are welcome.  We want to see your work, the Crown and baronage are looking forward to seeing the skills, talents and interests of their populace!
Proposed Schedule of Largesse Challenge:

1. 10:00 am – 2:00 pm – Competitors drop off Largesse at designated table.
2. 10:00 am – 2:00 pm – Entries will be “judged” by Populace as well as their Majesties and Baronial Seats.
3. 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm – Entrants Thank You gift pick up.
4. Court – Winners in each of the categories below will be announced.

A few Rules to follow:
No food, alcohol, or edible items, not even ‘shelf stable’ items.
Items may be made in a variety of methods; see the list below for ideas or come up with your own!
Please include an information card attached to item of Largesse with the following information:
SCA name
Home group (and Kingdom if not Eastern)
A short description of said item (with any possible allergens, ingredients, and/or materials.)

The baronage would like to encourage the populace to appreciate the skills and goods of those who donate Largesse.  To this effect, three beans will be given to each member of the populace at Gate, with the hope that they will visit the display of donated Largesse and place a bean with their favourite.
As a thank you for participating, each participant in the display will be allowed to pick one Largesse item which has been donated, in appreciation of their hard work.
Distance submissions and Eligibility
If you are unable to attend Kingdom Thrown Weapons Champions Day and would like to submit Largesse items, you are very welcome!
Please send your Largesse with a trusted friend who would be willing to set up your Largesse for you and collect your Thank You Largesse and prize on your behalf if you win.
