Brennan and Caoilfhionn's Ducal Challenges & Settmour Swamp Day of Champions

Greetings good Gentles!  Brennan and Caoilfhionn would like to invite you once again to participate in their Ducal Challenge!!  Come join us once again in the Barony of Settmour Swamp for a fun day combining fighters and artisans! 

Following the Ducal Challenges on Saturday, the Barony of Settmour Swamp will be hosting their Day of Champions on Sunday at the same site.The Ducal Challenge tournaments will begin at noon.

Saturday—Ducal Challenge
Site will open up at 9:00 am
10:30 am Morning Royal Court
11:30 Lists for both Heavy and Rapier close
12-3pm Tournaments with prize table to follow afterwards
4:30pm Evening Court

Sunday Day of Champions
10 am Gate opens
11 am Archery Tournament begins
11:30 Thrown Weapons Tournament begins
12pm Potluck lunch—ongoing throughout day
12:30 Heavy Weapons Tournament begins
1pm Fencing Tournament begins
3pm All tournaments conclude
4pm Baronial Court
6pm site closes



The Ducal Challenge features prize tournaments for both armored and rapier combatants.  Each combatant is asked to donate a prize to the pool showcasing their art or a piece of art they have created or commissioned. 

The tournaments will be fought in a double elimination tournament down to the semifinals.  The finals will be fought with rotating weapons forms.

The winner of the tournament will have first pick of the prizes for that tournament.  The second prize pick will go to the artist/sponsor of the first prize picked.  Then, the second finalist in the tournament will pick, and so on.

Prize suggestions include (but are not limited to):
- Armor pieces
- Inkle Trim / Tablet Woven Trim
- Appropriate artwork
- Banners
- Glass beads
- Jewelry
- Garb
- Feast Gear/Pottery
- Woodwork

No Alcohol (per site rules)
Nothing purchased
No IOUs!!

Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events.  By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks.  You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.  Hand Sanitizer will be available.
