Join us in the world of stories, myths and legends.  Starting with the classics of Grimms stories like Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, try your best to hit the headless horseman, and try to prevent the legendary Jersey Devil from raising havoc in the Pine barrens. 

Equestrian:  We are also privileged to welcome for the First Time the Equestrians of the East.  Activities and information will be posted once the horses are in from the fields and grazing. 

Archery:  13 different shoots varied from Grimms Stories like Hansel and Gretel to the legendary Jersey Devil

Armored Combat:  Shenanigans are being plotted

-Baronesses Challenge:  To be announced
-Event Steward’s Challenge:  Create your own folk tale.  It can be scary, funny, or imaginative.  Best tale will win a prize
-A&S Champion's Challenge:  TBD

Bardic:  Working on a tale

Combat Archery:  Challenges to be plotted

Rapier Combat:  Working on a new way to Not lose an eye

Thrown Weapons:  Working on ways to split trees

Children's activities:  Planting ways to keep the little ones busy

FRIDAY:  Gate will be open from 5pm-10pm for Camping

Site Policy: 

This is a dry site.  Please do not violate this as the ranger will expel you from the site.

Smoking Policy: 

Smoking of any kind, including all varieties of flame and flameless smoking, is not permitted in any of the buildings.  Smoking is allowed but you must be at least 100 feet from any building.

No liquid fuels are allowed on the site.  This includes gas, kerosine, oil and alcohol.  Propane is the fuel of choice.  Fires are allowed in designated fire pits only.  Firewood is available from the camp.  Above ground fire rings can be used and can be requested in advance of the event from the Event Steward.  Each area containing a fire must have properly filled fire buckets as a safety measure.  Fires may not be allowed based on the current fire danger rating. 

Vehicular Traffic:

Cars and trucks must stay on designated roads.  Cars and Trucks may not go in any area other than the parking areas and designated roads.  The onsite speed limit is 5 MPH, and the residential access road is 25 MPH.  Please obey all speed limits.

From the shore:  Take NJ Route 33 west from Freehold (U.S.  Route 9) six miles to County Route 527A (Iron Ore Rd.).  Turn right (north) and proceed 1/2 mile to LaValley Drive.  Turn right again and follow LaValley Drive 1/2 mile to the gate. 

From the NJ Turnpike:  Exit #8 from the turnpike to Route 33 east.  Proceed east 6 miles to Route 527A.  Take the jughandle and proceed north as described above

Adult Member- Pre-Reg- $25, At Gate- $30
Adult Non-Member- Pre-Reg- $35, At Gate- $40
Children 17 and under are free.
Dayboard is included in the site fee. 

Feast:  Pre-Reg:  $15, At Gate $20 (Feast capacity is 36)

Tent camping is Free, cabin camping is $5 (Per Person)

PayPal registration will only be active until Oct 3, this is the latest the paypal registration can be kept open.

If you wish to pre-reg by mail, please send to the address below a copy of SCA membership card WITH CURRENT EXPIRATION DATE CLEARLY VISIBLE.  Mailed checks need to be received by October 5th.  Only paid registration with check received by Oct 5 will be counted as pre-registered.  If the check is not received by Oct 5, patron will need to pay the at the door price at gate. 

Individuals who wish to apply for an event pre-registration refund must contact the Event Steward and/or Reservations Clerk for that event in some manner, prior to the start of the event.  A Refund Request Form is to be filled out by the Event Steward, Reservations Clerk and the Requestor.  If payment was made using PayPal, the PayPal fees will be deducted from any refund issued.  No refunds will be issued if event does not make a profit. 


Day board will have a selection of meat and vegetable pies, soup with dark bread.  Prepared by Lu An-hua.
