Back for the 2nd Year!
New to the SCA and unsure how to get started? Already here but want to try something new? Or are you the type who wants to do it all? This is the event for you!

Starting something new can seem daunting, and a bit of a financial investment.  Have no fear there are creative approaches that are kind to your coin purse and will see you well on your way to discovering a new passion.  The event will offer classes on several aspects of the SCA, with a focus on where to spend your money wisely as you try something new.  We will answer the age-old question “I wish I knew this when I started”!

And because we really want to encourage people to come out and see what we do, this event is being run on donations.  That's right, no fixed gate fee, we want you to come try new things and have fun.  Donations can be made at the gate with cash or check.

Want to share your knowledge and help others get started? Are you an expert at scoring finds at thrift stores or garage sales? We are looking for teachers, contact the event steward with your ideas.  We will also be offering martial classes geared to those just starting.

New to our event this year, Youth Combat!  Sir Sichelgaita Von Halstern invites our Kingdom Youth Combants to display their prowess and honor on the tournament field.  She has asked us for the honor of sponsoring a tournament to showcase your skills at arms, chivalry and pageantry.  Your tournament will be the only tournament this day.  Bring your best, wear your colors and come have fun!  Authorizations will be held prior to the tournaments.  If you have any questions or are interested in Youth Combat, our marshal will be happy to answer any questions and help you get started!

Gold Key will be available for those in need of garb for the event.

Returning this year:  "The SCAdian Closet, finding your style" - Available in the Fire Hall throughout the Day
Ever wonder what you'd look like in a certain style of garb? Want to know how you'll look before putting the time and materials into it? Countess Margarita will have a range of clothing from various periods and countries available to examine and try on.  Come be inspired!
