Event details
Take your ease in the shade and listen to our musicians or join our dancers! Watch and join the archers and those throwing axes, knives, and spears. You also can patronize our wonderfully talented merchants who are selling their wares.
There will be areas where you can learn arts such as weaving, and embroidery. For families we have Youth Coordinators who will be running a series of activities all day to engage children in medieval arts. There are a myriad of things to enjoy and learn, all in the shade of the beautiful Veasey Park on May 18th, 2024!
Watch the fighters and fencers engage in bouts and learn about their martial skill and the weapons they use most. *There will be a tournament held specifically for newer fighters. Any armored fighter who has been authorized for under 3 years may compete for honor, and glory. If you plan to enter this tournament, please reach out to Valerian at 58579@members.eastkingdom.org in advance.*
It's time for the Carolingia Baronial A&S Championship! We're very pleased to be able to have the competition hosted at Otter's this year. The theme for this year's competition is Baronial Champions' Regalia. Much of our regalia is old and/or falling apart. You choose which Champ's Regalia you'd be interested in making and the form of the item. You are NOT REQUIRED to actually donate whatever item you make. There is zero penalty if you don't. If something inspires you that isn't baronial regalia, feel free to enter anyway! Following the theme is not REQUIRED. Sign ups will happen at the event, so if you get last-minute inspiration, GO FOR IT!
The winner will be selected by our wonderful Baron and Baroness. Documentation is to each artist's comfort level, especially since this is a theme that might be difficult to document.
*If you have any questions, feel free to poke Phaedra at klc011@hotmail.com. Just put "A&S champs" in the subject line so it doesn't get missed or dismissed as spam.*
We will have ambassadors who will gladly show you around and answer any questions you may have! No matter how big or small!
Nothing to wear? We have wardrobe to share! We will have loaner clothing available (a.k.a Gold Key) for Adults, Youths, and Children in a wide range of sizes.
