Bergental/BBM Yule

UPDATE:  Feast is sold out.

The great baronies of Bergental and Beyond the Mountain invite you to celebrate Yule at a beautiful new location!  The site is a stone church bursting with ambiance inside; bring banners to help decorate and add to the festive atmosphere.  There will be more details forthcoming, but we anticipate having the Bergental Champion Arts and Sciences competition, the silent auction, and an outdoor spear tourney. 

Please note that the site is DRY and does not permit any flames. 

In addition to a sumptuous and hearty day board for all, an evening feast prepared by Mistress Eleanor MacCarthaigh and her kitcheners will be set for the first 80 gentles who register.  During the feast, many fine Yule traditions will be observed, including a Boar's Head, the first foot, an offering of the upper crust, and, if we are very good, perhaps a special guest will come...  Come meet friends once again and let us celebrate this festive time of year.  In addition, their Excellencies Bergental and Beyond the Mountain ask the populace to procure, produce, and present yourselves in your finest purple garb for a color court that will be a truly wonderous sight.

Event Offerings: 
BERGENTAL A&S CHAMPION:  Luminary Competition
Greetings unto the populace of Bergental and adjacent gentles, this year’s luminary competition will have 2 elements:
1) Art is service too
a.  Each competitor will display 3 items of largess, each made with a new skill or art leaned within 12 months of the competition
i.  * these items will be collected at the end of the completion to help restock the Baronial largess coffers
ii.  An entrant may elect to make more than three items, or include multiple sets of three items IF competitor elects to display/donate multiple sets, they shall identify one set of three as their completion entry.
2) Artisan’s Choice project, with some element of heraldic imagery/pageantry
a.  Get down with your art jam folks!  Show off your skills and joy
b.  I love heraldry and pageantry, so this is my attempt to encourage folks to increase or heraldic presentation game!!

LUCKY SEVEN LARGESSE CHALLENGE:  The Lucky Seven Challenge invites attendees to embrace the spirit of largess and goodwill by bringing seven items to share with their fellow participants.  This challenge embodies the essence of giving and receiving within our community.  All event attendees are encouraged to participate in the Lucky Seven Challenge.  Whether you are a seasoned artisan or a newcomer, this challenge is open to everyone.  Participants are asked to bring seven items of their choice, which could be tokens, gifts, or creations of any kind.  For ideas and more information please see https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mQFPU79FW_qjnnlgT2F85oJQ0faz7m5nuwEezXLHtbM .

SILENT AUCTION:  We have designated space for our traditional silent auction.  Items typically range from fabrics and clothes to custom art pieces or craft kits.  Please consider donating items or your skill for the auction!

BARDIC:  Bardic performances are also being planned throughout the day in the gorgeous sanctuary space.
