East Kingdom Twelfth Night
Hosted by Barony of Buckland Cross - Jamison, PA
Event date: January 13th, 2024
Event Last Modified: November 28th, 2023
Baron Aurddeilen will be hosting games for your laughter and delight! Come and learn some new games and enjoy your favorites.
For 12th Night he will introduce 3 Court Games; The Riddle Game, Council of the Gods, and Mono-awase. Riddle Games were very popular throughout the SCA Time period, and very prevalent in Anglo-Saxon Courts. Council of the Gods was a Memory game created by Innocentio Ringheri specifically for the Italian Courts of the 16th Century. Mono-awase was a comparison game and the single most popular game in Japanese Courts from the 8th thru 19th centuries.
There will also be a period card game tournament consisting of Tarot, Pochen, and Malcontent. Winner will receive a custom gameboard created by His Excellency.
A table will be set aside for The East Kingdom Brewer’s Guild to conduct panels and a roundtable. Those wishing to have their beverages paneled should sign up at the table. Be sure to have your documentation in order. Time permitting, roundtable tastings may also be performed (no documentation required for roundtables).
