Are you saddened from being away from long-lost friends? Tired of the toilsome task of dispatching Uncle Baldrick to the dead cart early? Winter food stores down to parsnips and salted fish? Brave the cold and meander down the snowy roads to keep company with the Barony of Smoking Rocks.  Join us for Ice Weasel 18… 18 with an Icicle and enjoy a warm drink by the fire and fighting pits, eat and laugh in the feast hall, and sing and tell tales.

For those brave at heart and steel can compete for Lord Protector of Smoking Rocks and represent the barony as our Heavy Champion.  All are welcome to compete in the bear pit in the snow and ice.  There will be a fine prize for the Champion of the day and a prize for the best Novice that fought in armor for under two years.

Hear ye, all bards and lovers of the bardic arts!  The Baronial of Court of Smoking Rocks is pleased to announce there is to be Bardic Competition to be held in the grand hall of the lodge.  All aspiring bards are invited to showcase their talents and compete for the grand prize of being our Baronial Champion with all bragging rights and honors.  For those competing for the first time will receive a token for their bravery.  Their Excellencies are requesting performances in various categories, including poetry, song, storytelling, and musical instrumentals. Judges will be looking for creativity, originality, and technical skill, so prepare your best pieces!  Audience participation is also encouraged, so come and cheer on your favorite performers. Registration is open now and will close on February 17th, 2024.  To register, simply email baron@smokingrocks.eastkingdom.org. 

For the fair gentles that need to thaw, there will be a fire outside gather around and watch the tournament.  In the halls classes and companions can be found.  Our Chancellor Minor has planed to bring children activities to keep our little ones busy.  These will include Heraldry Twister and Make your Own Venetian Mask!  TF Woodcrafts and Yosef Alaric The Pre-Dawn Leftist, with his scrimshaw medallions and ukuleles will be there selling their crafts.  Class list can be found on the Smoking Rocks Site, https://smokingrocks.eastkingdom.org/ice-weasel/classes/ .  Classes will include a variety of fiber arts, viking wire knit, and forester related topics.


Our taverner is seeking saucy wenches and swains to help serve and entertain the weary travelers.  As always traveling bards are welcome with tales of love and travel for which our Benevolent Excellencies will happily reward.
