Nos Calan Gaeaf: A Winter's Eve Schola **SITE CHANGE**

Hosted by Barony of Settmour Swamp - Madison, NJ

Event date: October 28th, 2023

Event Last Modified: October 24th, 2023

Event details

As the year fades and the winter draws near, we turn to creative pursuits to keep our passions bright!  Join the Barony of Settmour Swamp for a day of classes in a myriad of disciplines.  Classes include woodworking, silk painting, working with period recipes, many aspects of heraldry, event management, embroidery forms and tools, and much more!

The schedule was updated Monday, October 23, to accommodate further teacher requests:

To sustain body as well as mind, there will be coffee and tea service in the morning, and a hearty dayboard provided by our Baroness Charis Accipiter in the afternoon.  We invite attendees to bring potluck baked goods for elevenses.

The site is dry; if you are interested in teaching a brewing class, please contact the event stewards to discuss.

The site is a bit of a maze.  The link is here:
We will not be printing copies of the map or the schedule in order to save trees.  Please consider bringing a screenshot of the map with you.  We'll do the best we can with signage, but we can't tape anything to the walls per our rental agreement.

The site is more accessible than the prior site for those with mobility issues.  It is all on one floor, with a small step from driveway to doorways.  There is a long hallway between several of the class spaces, and two class spaces require passing through other class spaces.  Outdoor space is available for gathering if the weather is fine.

Limited wifi will be available on site.  It will only work in the main hall (Polaris, classrooms Megrez and Alcor), the front foyer (Gate and Sirius), and the kitchen, so please plan accordingly.  The password will be in your site token.

We welcome all volunteers to help us put away tables and chairs at the end of the day.  There are also many places to dine near the site.  Madison is a busy town center, however, and we recommend making reservations for your party.

** Please note the site change!  The new location is in Madison NJ, next door to the site used for last February's Imbolc Schola.  **

Site Opens: 9:30am
Site Closes: 6:00pm
