Event details

The Strawberry Moon in June is the perfect time knock the dust off your camp gear and dig back into weekend medieval outdoor activities!  The rolling hills in the Shire of Anglespur are the perfect place for our first Crofters Moon Schola.  It is a 2 day event located at Lui na Greine Feirme's dedicated 40 acre medieval backlot.  The event will run from Friday June 9th at 5pm to Sunday June 11th at 3pm.  The activities will be focused on hands-on exploration of the skills a medievalist would have needed to thrive in a village.  Communal medieval projects will be the backbone of this event to help hone early building skills.  Not into building? No problem!  The fiber arts will be well represented here as well.  Our A&S minister is excited to showcase the amazing teachers and talent that we have in the Shire with a variety of different workshops.  There will be youth activities centered around our theme, opportunities to forage the forest and fields for the cook pot, chances to build fires and loads of opportunities to make new friends and meet up with old ones!  Thrown weapons, archery, youth fighting, rapier and heavy fighting are happening as well!  A bardic bonfire will be hosted on Saturday night.
