Event details

The wind wails, the snow falls, and the mud is frozen solid, but the flame of scholarship burns brightly in Settmour Swamp!  We are so happy to invite you for a day of classes covering calligraphy and illumination, painting, event stewarding, wire and stained glass working, the clothing and cooking arts, how to set up your own EK Wiki page, among many others.  And begin the spring with knowledge of the plants around you!

At events like this, we try to fan the flames of curiosity and creativity.  One curious and knowledgeable person who would have helped us is Isabeau d’Orleans.  Isabeau was a talented and skilled craftsperson who embroidered, cooked, made beautiful music, and supported our Barony for many years.  Isabeau lost her yearslong battle with cancer on January 21.  This event celebrates her spirit, and we encourage you to remember her with us by learning new skills and making beautiful things.

This event is now sold out!

** Health & Safety Update **
Currently, the CDC is rating the COVID-19 community level for Morris County as MEDIUM.  Per the East Kingdom Seneschal's policy of Nov.  11, 2022, if the county community level is HIGH the Thursday before the event, indoor masking will be required, but otherwise not.  We will update the event announcement on Feb.  9 with the current county status.

Regardless of community level on the date of the event:
- masks will be available at the Schola Gate
- if an instructor requests that you mask during their class, we ask that you respect their wishes
- if you aren't feeling well the morning of the event, please stay home!
