The Barony of Settmour Swamp is proud to announce the return of Mudthaw…let’s get back to the mud!  Please note that this event will be scaled down capacity to conform to State and Society Covid-19 guidelines with a maximum capacity of 350 attendees.  Also, there will be merchants inside the main hall with a maximum of 150 people allowed inside during the tournament.

Schedule of Events:
Currently, all schedules and activities are under review and are being held at a TBD status.  As soon as there is an update this event site will be updated.  We thank you for your time and patience.

We will also impose all of the current guidelines as follows to the extent they are applicable:
• All attendees ages 5 and over must show proof of full vaccination or have a medically-supervised negative COVID test dated within 72 hours of the start of the event.
• Attendees aged 18 and up must also show gov't issued ID or proof of membership.
• Contact tracing information (legal name and either a phone number or email address) must be collected for all attendees.
• Masks must be worn indoors at all times, including while engaged in fighting.  Masks may be lowered briefly to eat or drink, but do not walk around with your mask lowered while you occasionally sip your beverage.
• Masks must be worn outdoors at all times, except while engaged in fighting.  When the helm comes off, the mask goes on.


Per the BoD:
Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to try to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events.  By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks.  You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.

Wearing a mask is required by EK law, except for when directly fighting, and then they have to be put back on.  More information is available on the East Kingdom Seneschal’s website:

Do not attend an in-person activity if you are experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19 ( [] ).  If you develop symptoms after attending an in-person activity, you must notify the person in charge of the activity as soon as possible.

If you have an underlying condition which increases your risk, strongly consider your own health and safety before attending an in-person activity ( [] ).

By attending this event, you are confirming that you (as well as any minors that you are parent or
guardian for):
➢ Are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 as identified by the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention at, including but not limited to:
• Fever or chills
• Dry cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing
• Muscle or body aches
• New loss of sense of taste or smell;
➢ Have not been near someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 within the last 14 days
without following CDC guidance for self-quarantine;
➢ Agree to follow all COVID safety restrictions imposed by the SCA, the event site, and/or local,
state, provincial, or federal government or health authorities.

NOTE:  This site is a dry site and there is NO smoking permitted anywhere on church property.

Registration Fees

Adults:  $30 with $5 member discount ($25 for members)
6 to 17:  $10.00
5 and under:  free. 

The site will be capped at 350

This is a PayPal pre-registration only event.

There will be no feast or day board.  There will, however, be individually wrapped hand pies available for purchase. 
The cost will be $4 per hand pie (meat and vegetarian options available)
