Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

The great baronies of Bergental and Beyond the Mountain invite you to celebrate Yule at a wonderous new location!  There will be more details forth coming but we anticipate having the Bergental Champion Arts and Sciences competition and the silent auction.  A sumptuous and hearty day board will replace our usual feast but have no fear, traditions will be upheld!  The first foot will appear, an offering of the upper crust will occur, and, if we are very good, perhaps a special guest will come...  Come meet friends once again and let us celebrate life beyond the plague.  In addition their Excellencies Bergental and Beyond the Mountain ask the populace to procure, produce, and present yourselves in your finest red with silver and/or gold garb for a color court that will be a truly wonderous sight.

Event Offerings:

BERGENTAL A&S Champion:  Our poor champion has held her position for a long while and help us through the plague but it is past time for her to pass her mantle on to another.  The competition will have two parts:  something in your best art form and art as service (such as a piece of largesse or beginner's kit).  Documentation is required and contestants do not have to be at their display all day as long as everything is clearly marked.  Judging will be done by his Excellency Bergental with help from others and will be done according to the rubric.  We ask that food not be entered for this particular challenge due to current Covid concerns.  Any additional questions please contact our current champion Lady Eithne ingen Mael Duin at

We have designated space for our traditional silent auction.  Items typically range from fabrics and clothes to custom art pieces or craft kits.  Please consider donating items or your skill for the auction!

We also have very limited space for merchants.  We hope to provide a small but diverse selection of merchants for your shopping pleasure.  Merchants please send emails of interest to

The traditional Yule Spear Tournament will take place again this year.  This is a bear pit format, among teams of 3 combatants (using spears).  For more information or questions please contact Duke Edward at

Bardic performances are also being planned through out the day in the gorgeous sanctuary space.

In addition, we would like to help our host site with their efforts to help those in need during the season by challenging the populace to a "Stocking Drive!" New socks of every size and type will be collected for those that that need them.  Warm socks and athletic socks are especially appreciated.

All attendees must pre-register though the paypal link that will be posted below soon.  There will be a 200 person cap and it will be on a first come first served basis.  The paypal link will be posted below and it will be announced on Facebook and through the EK mailing list when the link will go live.
