Event details

So vast are the lands of Stonemarche that each summer we break apart in the tradition of the Italian Contradas and compete against each other in a series of games.  our Contrades are:  Hippocampo (Seacoast Area, UNH, Giggleswick and East of Concord, East of Rt.  93, and East of Rt.  3 North of the Notch), Sole (West:  Keen, Hanover, Dartmouth, Littleton, Concord, and West of Rt 93 in the North), and Ferrari (South:  Manchester, Nashua, Salem, and areas in between).  If you do not wish to declare a Contrade, you may declare for Stonemarche instead.  Come Join us for fun at Stonemarche online as we host Palio Di Stonemarche in this new form.

Palio di Stonemarche VIII A&S:  Da Vinchi Competition
Yes!  It is time to prepare for the Palio di Stonemarche.  We will be doing this event in a virtual environment this year, so we are announcing the A&S Challenges early to give you time to do your projects and document them for the new venue.
This year’s theme will be a Da Vinchi Challenge:  Present your works for your Contrades, finished or unfinished, and show us the glory of your art.  We encourage you to include documentation of what motivated your project.  For example:  The sources for your recipes, the portrait that inspired the garb you made, or the pots you replicated, the armor your kit is modeled after… See below for how to post your entries.

Palio di Stonemarch VIII Welcome
We would like to open with a parade of faces.  Please send Lady Anjuili Foljambe' (Elizabeth Becker: a picture of you, via private message or email, in your Contrada colors or your favorite Italian Renaissance garb.  Include your Contrada name so we can label the team you are on.  If you would like a site token please private message your postal address to her or you could email the address to her at and she will make sure you get one.

If you are a bard and would like to share your recorded music during this event, please email or message either Lady Anjuili Foljambe' or Lady Ciarnait ni’Bhroin (Karen Diamond: with your music.  All copyright laws ( ) must be followed.  A meeting place will be opened for Bardic presentations if there is enough interest.  We have decided that a Bardic competition would be unfair this year, so that has been postponed until next year.

The Populace Vote Poll is now open for Voting:

All entries for the A&S competition can be sent in starting anytime from now until 10 AM Saturday when the populace voting starts.  Note that if your entry is not submitted until 10 AM, it may take time before it is included in the poll.  After naming your entry, it will need to be posted in the Google Drive folder and in the Palio Facebook page Documents, Videos and Photos.  After 10:00 AM the Google folder will become viewable only.  If you need edits after that, email or private message Lady Ciarnat.  To place an entry please follow the instructions in this document:
