Feast of the End of the Gaunt Days
Hosted by Barony of the Bridge - Hope Valley, RI
Event date: February 22nd, 2020
Event Last Modified: November 25th, 2019
This pot-luck gathering is part foodie-schola, wherein anyone can come and either just enjoy the day, or show off your finest concoctions for judging and sharing (or just sharing), and part schmoozefest. Please provide an ingredient listing for any dishes you choose to share, so that participants can make informed decisions and avoid allergens as easily as possible.
The day starts with judging so that by lunch and throughout the day the rest of us can sample, learn techniques and swap tips. Those who bring a dish that feeds 4 or more can have it judged for a chance at small culinary-arts-related prizes and our deepest gratitude! Categories include: Meat Dishes; Meatless Dishes; Sweets; Alcoholic Beverages; Non-Alcoholic Beverages; Best Historical Recipe; Gauntest Recipe; and Populace Favorite. Tokens will be given to each attendee at sign-in to vote for the Populace Favorite.
This site requires attendees to climb a handful of steps to enter, and the bathroom is too cramped for most wheelchairs. All activities are on one level.
Site Opens: 1pm
Site Closes: 9pm
