Event details

Good Gentles of the East Kingdom come join in the celebration with the Barony of Iron Bog.  For on this day the eve of the Ides of March, Iron Bog will rejoice by celebrating their 13th year as a Barony of the East Kingdom.  There will be fighting, fencing, and archery (weather permitting) tournaments during the day.

To commemorate our Barony’s coming of age, Their Excellencies of Iron Bog shall be holding their first Baronial Bardic Championship.  All Musicians, Singers, Story Tellers and Entertainers may enter the competition.  However, only gentles who reside in Iron Bog and the surrounding landed groups are eligible to become Iron Bog’s first Bardic Champion.  The appointment of Iron Bog's First Bardic Champion shall be held in the afternoon Court of Their Excellencies, Baron Declan Gobha and Baroness Aibhilin inghean Ui Phaidin.

In addition to the day board, there shall be a full feast with live entertainment.  Both the day board and feast cooks have been challenged to provide a Jewish inspired medieval meal in honor of the occasion.  (The Day-Board and Feast will not be actually kosher).  In addition to birthday cake at the end of the feast, there will be a desert competition using the number "13" as the theme.
