Event details

Yule Greetings from the Riding of Ravensbridge.  As the seasons turn and thoughts turn to feasting, dancing, and tales by the fire please join us on December 14th at the Ravensbridge Yule feast.  This year we are celebrating the coronation of His Majesty King William upon the successful conquest of England by our most noble Army of Normandy.

The Ravensbride Yule Feast is an afternoon event for dancing, performing, feasting, and some A&S!  We are looking to add a few classes this year, as well.

The main feature of the event will be a two course Norman style Feast.  Please contact the Feast Steward with any allergies or questions.  Feast Menu TBD.

There will be a *light* dayboard provided.

We will once again be having Bardic entertainment, and concluding with a Carol sing.  Anyone interested in performing, please contact the Event Steward.  We would like to keep pieces to either a Norman or Christmas theme.  Stories, songs, music, and more are welcome!

In addition, we will be announcing details for a two-fold Bardic Competition!

To help you work up your appetite, there will be dancing, focusing on Playford's dances.

In addition, there is an A&S competition with two themes:  Norman/Saxon and Yule.  There is also a Youth A&S competition this year!

If you wish to bring a period style chair that is appropriate for indoor use, please feel free.  You may wish to bring a seat cushion for comfort.

There is street parking available.  There will be some spaces near the building marked off for disability parking.  Across the way there is parking in the lot by the park, and shuttle service will be provided.

The site is accessible.  There is a ramp leading into the building and an ADA compliant bathroom on each floor.  There is a chair lift up to the main floor.

No open flame is allowed at this event.  The site is wet - you may (responsibly!) bring alcohol with you.

Don't forget to bring your feastware!
