The Barony of Carillion has stepped forward to answer the call to War and will host the Southern Region war camp Year IX.  Located less then 10 minuets from exit 8 on the NJ Turnpike, there will be ample room for activities and camping.

Please join us to wish our Baron and Baroness well as they step down and celebrate the Investiture of our new Baronial heirs.

Court Schedule:

Morning Court will start at 10AM
Our Baron and Baroness will conduct their last Court in preparation to step down.  Immediately following will be the Investiture of our new Baronial heirs.

Afternoon Court will start at 4:30 pending completion of the Throwing Weapons competition. 


Southern Region Exchequer Meeting:
The East Kingdom Exchequer requests the presence of the southern regional Exchequers who will be attending SRWC.  At a meeting the primary subject will be best practices for the region.  The meeting is currently scheduled at 2PM.  Please bring something to take notes. 

K&Q Thrown Weapons:
We are now proudly hosting K&Q Thrown Weapons Champions.
Qualifying will be Friday night after 5 and Saturday morning.  Shooting for tournament start around 1pm.  (Actual start depends on the availability of the Royals)

We will be having field, bridges and wall battle with siege and combat archery as it will occur at the war.  We will be having a variety of rapier activities.  Archery shoots for all the war points including the clout will be available.  Equestrian activities (TBD) will be schedules for participation or for you to observe.  We will also be providing targets for the throwing weapons community, youth marshals will be running a youth tourney and melees (TBD), and we have tapped several very talented artisans to teach classes.  Schedules will be posted, as we get closer to the event.  Bardic, A&S and other activities TBD.

Heavy Schedule:
Inspections and authorizations will start at 9AM Saturday.
Fighting will start after morning Court.

Archery Schedule: 
Archery range will be available all day with additional times based on marshal availability.

Fencing:
10 -- 12:00 Auths and pickups
12:30 -- 2:00 Melee scenario's
2:30 -- > 3:30 Singles tournament (C+T tournament)
3:30 -- 4:  30 Pickups


Throwing Weapons: 
Will be available all day Saturday and K&Q Thrown Weapons champions will be competed for on our TW range.  I expect to see some challenging targets!

Arts and Sciences:
Autocrat Challenge by Master Aaron the Arrowsmith.  Create a period item of any type that will show us your best A and S skills.  Documentation required! 

Baronial Arts and Science Challenge!  Her Excellency Lillian atte Valeye has retired from long years of service as our Mistress of Arts and Sciences.  In her honor our Baron and Baroness invite you to create a work of art inspired by Lily!  Perhaps you can be inspired by her work.  Lily excelled at illumination and doll making as well as needlework.  Perhaps you are inspired by her name...just think, Lilly of the Valley, Day Lilies, Tiger Lily, Lilly Tomlin or Lily Potter!  We can’t wait to see your creations!

We will have a People Choice A and S table and a regular A and S table so you can show your beautiful A and S projects.  If you are just a beginner you are greatly welcome to show your projects. 

We will also have a Artisan Row.  If you would like to teach a class or present in Artisans row please let us know. 

We will also have a class/demonstration on torch fired metal jewelry by Lady Karin Jaacobsdotter, time to be determined.

We will have Glass Bead Demonstrations by Pia Maletesta.

We will have Baron Robert of Sugar Grove will be demonstrating and offering hands on period wood working.

I hope to see you and look forward to talking to you and seeing your A and S projects.  If you are just a beginner you are also welcome to show your A and S on our tables.  I hope you can come and have a fun day with us at S.W.C..

Bardic:
Attention Bards and Performers:  There will be an "open mic" performance opportunity at War Camp.  Have a new tune you want to try out? Where better than War Practice? Want to join a sing along? War Camp is the perfect place for it!  Session will go one hour prior to court and take place in the glade between troll and the list field.

Pool: 
The pool will be open after 1:00PM for most of the afternoon.  Please check with troll for the precise time it will be open.  We have had requests to have the pool open after the Afternoon Court.  To do this we will need to delay the oper time or close the pool then reopen it after court.  If you plan on using the pool please email the autocrat with your preference.  We can modify the life guard schedules. 

Equestrian: 

We will have Equestrian!  Schedule of events TBD.
Multiple activities planned including equestrian archery.  More to come.

Site Rules:
The site is dry.  Violators will be expelled from the site.  If you have any site related questions please contact the site autocrat.  Day board will be available.  No feast is planned.  There is also a wide variety of restaurants within 10 minuets drive of the site, see the provided list.  Local dining and shopping information will be provided at the troll.

Minors:

Can I bring another person's child to an East Kingdom event?
Yes.  The way our current policies are written, all youths at events must attend with a parent, guardian, or responsible adult designated by the parent or legal guardian.  If a person brings any child to an event, they are responsible for seeing to the child's safety, well-being, and behavior.
All children under the age of five should be supervised at all times by their parents/guardians or a responsible adult or older teen.  Youth between the age of 5 and 12 must be within sight and sound range of their parent / guardian /responsible adult / teen supervisor at all times.  Walkie-talkies and cell phones do not extend the sight / sound range.

If I am bringing my niece, nephew, grandchild, or friend of the family what do I need to bring with me?
Any child attending an event with a person other than their parent or legal guardian must turn in signed copies of the following two forms at the Gate:  the waiver form for minors, and the medical authorization forms for minors.  Both of these forms are available on the East Kingdom Chancellor Minor website.

If a parent or legal guardian is not there, can the youth participate in youth combat activites?
No.  Youths may only participate in youth combat including fighting activities include armored combat (heavy weapons), fencing, combat archery, marshaling, scouting, youth combat, or banner bearing in combat if they have a parent or legal guardian present to directly witness the activity.

Camping Rules:
Camp only in designated areas.  Use existing fire pits or portable fire pits supplied by the camp.  No ground fires outside of an approved fire pit.  All fires must be attended and have properly filled fire buckets near the fire pit.  Firewood will be available from the camp at a cost, no cutting of live trees.  No liquid fuel or liquid fuel devices.  Motor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas.  If you have special needs please contact the site autocrat.  At the end of the event fire pits must be cleaned and all trash must be sorted into dumpsters located in the parking lot. 

No cars in the camping area or on the battle field!  Pickup and drop off locations will be posted.  Cars parked anywhere other than an authorized parking lot will be towed at the owner's expense. 

No pets are allowed.  Service animals are permitted; please contact the autocrat in advance.  No exceptions!

Directions:

From the North and South find your best route to the New Jersey Turnpike (Interstate-95 a toll will apply).  Take exit #8 (Hightstown/Freehold) Route 33, bear right onto Route 33 East for 6.2 miles.  Make a left turn using the jug handle to cross over Route 33 onto County Route 527A for .04 miles.  Turn right onto LaValley Drive.  From the East, find your best route to Route 33 Westbound.  Turn right on Route 527A North after the Mobil station (sign posted on traffic light at intersection says 527/Iron Ore Road) for .04 miles.  Turn right on to LaValley Drive.  Quail Hill signs are posted.

Registration Fees

Registration:
Adults $20.00 for non-member.
Adults discounted to $15.00 for members. 
Children 17 and younger years are free.

Limited cabin space is available for $5 per person.

Mail in deadline 4 weeks prior to event.

Barony of Carillion Event Refund Policy:
Individuals requesting event pre-registration refunds must contact the Autocrat and/or Reservations Clerk for that event in some manner (by email, in writing, or a phone call), prior to the start of the event(that morning inclusive).
A Refund Request Form is to be filled out by the Autocrat, Reservationist, and the Requestor (if possible).
Partial refunds for a group reservation where one or more individuals were unable to attend can be issued:  i.e, one check sent in with reservations for four people and one or more will not be attending.
No refunds will be issued if the event does not make a profit.
NO CASH REFUNDS!
