Blood and Axes 2

Hosted by Canton of Northpass - Carmel, NY

Event date: July 6th, 2018 - July 8th, 2018

Event Last Modified: September 16th, 2018

Event details

Last year Northpass decided that we should run a one-off martial focused event.  The (then) Seneschal insisted we find a use for the Veterans Memorial Park and this would be a good use of said sight.  I (Wilhelm) decided that it would be best to focus on thrown weapons (due to the dearth of events that focus on that glorious activity) and so Blood and Axes was born!

The first thing I kept hearing as we cleaned up was "I look forward to next year!" Skeptical I was but it does not take much to push me so here we are.  I now present you Blood and Axes 2!

We invite one and all, great and small, young and not young to compete and enjoy all things of valor!  As this is being written our borders are yet again in question so we have particular reason to practice and hone our skills!

Come test your might and art of combat against all as we offer a field of chances to throw axes (and knives and javelins) shoot your bows, fence, fight...  the main difference from last year is we expect to do it a bit bigger.  I suppose the picture is now clear!

We offer the following activities for your enjoyment and will offer more detail on the local website as things are finalized...

Axes:  Lord Leonhard Schuwert

Bows:  Ruan Shi Tian

Fencing:  Æsa Sturludottir will be making us test our skills.

Rattan:  Lord Ervald the Optimistic

Youth Combat:  Will be led by Mathghamhain Ua Ruadháin.  The army of the young is enthusiastic and growing in skill.

The midday food will be offered by Countess Brekke Franksdottir.

For evening food we expect to provide coals and people can bring and grill food as they like.  There is also good diner food near the site.

Breakfast food and coffee for the campers will be provided!

There is plenty of space for tent camping and within eyeshot of flush toilets and and all of the event activities.  It is a large site but we keep all of the activity centered such that we can all enjoy each others fun together!

Site Opens: Evening of July 6th for Camping - 10 AM Saturday the 7th for the start of the event proper
Site Closes: We are to be offsite 10:00 AM Sunday July 8th
