Event details

Please join us to demo to an audience of approximately 60,000 at the 2017 Medieval Festival outside the Cloisters Museum in Fort Tryon Park.  From 11:30am to 6pm, we hang out on the south lawn as part of a medieval village, under shady tents with tables, demonstrating medieval arts, crafts, sciences, combat, dancing and singing.

Walk in a period fashion show!  To participate, please email the autocrat with a description of the time & place of your garb.  Illustrations of all social classes & time periods wanted, so please don't hesitate!  Show off your finery and your daily wear.

We will also be putting on a brief concert from our Whyt Whey songbook:  http://whytwhey.eastkingdom.org/whyt-whey-favorites-songbook/ Please download a copy for yourself & practice singing along before the demo.  You may join us at our A&S nights to rehearse, if you are local to the area.

Email the autocrat (seneschal@whytwhey.eastkingdom.org) if you can help out with demonstrations, including the activity you would like to demo, how much table or open space you will need, and whether you can bring tents & tables to the event.

In addition to our demo, there are dozens of other artisans, re-enactors & performers, as well as an enthusiastic audience fully dressed for the occasion.  Come and enjoy the largest & most audience-participatory celebration of medieval & Renaissance culture on the Eastern seaboard, in its 33rd year.  See the festival's website for full details on the fun:  http://www.whidc.org/festival/home.html
