We would like to announce some details regarding the tournament to choose the next Champions of Horse, to be held at EK50 on Saturday, June 30th.  The tournament will consist of multiple parts.  Early Saturday morning round 1 will be an open field-type challenge course.  Round 2 will be run Saturday evening shortly after Court and will consist of lane games of skill.  Round 3 will be limited to the top scoring riders from the previous rounds and will be head-to-head single elimination games of skill featuring more challenging targets than round 2.  All equestrians at the event are invited to participate in rounds 1 and 2, round 3 will be limited only to those top scoring riders competing for the honor of becoming King’s Champion.

There will be significant point bonuses awarded for appropriate dress for yourself and your horse, meaning at least a decorative saddlecloth for your horse and a cover for your mundane helmet.  The point bonuses will be the same for all competitors who make the effort to turn out appropriately - you will not be judged on whether your stuff is pretty enough, just on whether you covered the modernity.
