Welcome fighters, Citizen Titus Aurelius Magnus, the marshal, will have:
Sir Edwards unbelted challenge
First there will be a written exam prepared by Sir Edward himself which will test your knowledge of Chivalry, a passing grade of 50% is required for those who wish to enter into the armored combat tournament to follow
The tournament will consist of those who pass the written exam and a double elimination tournament
there will be a winner for each portion of the challenge as well as an overall winner
YOUTH COMBAT: Youth between the ages of 6 and 16 are invited to join us on the field to test their might and demonstrate their chivalry. Experienced fighters and those just starting out are both welcome.
We anticipate opening the youth combat field for sign-in, armoring up, and inspections at 11:00. There will be a break in the early afternoon and then a second session. We’ll begin with one-on-one rounds and then move on to small melees or a tournament depending on our numbers.
A limited supply of loaner gear will be available, so any newcomers can suit up and give it a try. If you know you’re interested but don’t have a full set of armor, bring any protective sports gear you may already have — lacrosse helmets, hockey gloves, roller-skating knee pads, athletic cups, or whatever — and we’ll figure out which parts will work and find appropriate loaner gear to fill in the gaps. Or just show up empty-handed and we’ll do our best to get you armored up and onto the field!
Contact Mathghamhain Ua Ruadháin at youthmarshal@whytwhey.eastkingdom.org if you have any questions or concerns I can address.
