Goat's Tavern, in keeping with its one year old tradition, will be a family-friendly schola event, with several classes of a nautical theme (though not necessarily a pirate theme).  There will be classes and activities for children and adults with a focus on the nautical arts and science. 


The following is the list of scheduled classes for Goat's Tavern (with more on the way):

Pirate ship building/racing; sea chanteys, treasure maps,
Knot tying; 'Walk The Plank' (a delightful game).

Lady Hermina de Pagan – The Sinking & Discovery of the Mary Rose and; The Sinking of the Grace O'Malley

Lady Conandil Ingen Donnegal – Fingerlooping

Captain Elias Gedney - Mythbusting Period Pirates and; Eight Essential Knots

Lord Mathgamain ua Ruadhain – Youth Fighting Marshall
(some loaner gear will be available)

Lady Jenna Childslayer – Jerky Making

Baron William Graham – Introductory to Brewing Beer;
EKBG Panelling; Round Table Discussions

Lady Zillah al Sighira al Hurra – Cordial Making

Baron Richard the Poor of Eli – Nighttime Astronomy Walk (weather permitting).

Directions:

From East Westchester and Western Connecticut:  Best route to Route 35, to Route 202, to Bear Mountain Parkway Extension, to Route 9 South, to Peekskill's Welcher Ave.  exit.  At traffic signal, make left, go up hill and straight into Park.  Bear left after guard booth to lodge.

From Southern Westchester and Points South (NYC):  Best route to Saw Mill River Parkway, to Taconic State Parkway, to Route 9A North, to 9 North to Welcher Ave.  exit.  Make right, go up hill and into Park.  Bear left after guard booth to Lodge.

Day trip with feast (adults, ages 18+):  $27;
Day trip with feast (youths, ages 17-6):  $15;
Day trip with feast (babes in arms, ages 5-0):  $6.


Daytripping without feast will cost the same as above.  Stick around and enjoy a nice dinner!

Adult SCA members receive a $5 discount.  Please provide a copy of your SCA card when you pre-register, or have it available at troll.

Adults and teens must pay an extra $5 to stay overnight.  Babes-in-arms are free for overnight stay.

Please include email, or phone number with reservation in case there is a question on reservations.

Feast:  dayboard and feast will be served.

Pre-regged reservations must be received no later than October 10th.  Those received afterward (postmarked after 10/10 or at the gate) will be required to pay an additional $5 late fee per person.
