Shire Wars VI: The Battle of Hastings

Shire Wars VI will celebrate the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings on the weekend of October 14-16th, 2016.  Points will be awarded to the Anglo-saxons or Normans in the many competitions and events such as chivalric combat; fencing; archery; thrown weapons; and combat archery.  Many will be the opportunities for melees and group combat. 
Music, dancing, and singing, along with classes, merchants and artistic displays and contests will celebrate the Hastings anniversary and the Bayeaux tapestry that so brilliantly recorded it for us. 
Join the many talented members of the shires in this celebration.  Display your shire's heraldry.  Show your skills with a Hastings themed or Bayeaux tapestry inspired item.
