ARTISANS ROW: Lady Caera Fitzpatrick
Artisan's Row includes live displays and hands-on demonstrations.  The Artisan’s Row is a particularly wonderful opportunity for Arts and Sciences that are too messy or time-consuming for usual events or demonstrations that require large outdoor spaces.  We are especially interested in woodworkers, blacksmiths, dyers, stone carvers, potters and any artisan who would avail themselves of a long weekend out of doors.  Our village-like atmosphere will allow you to demonstrate, teach, and peddle your wares.  Last year we had woodworking, weaving, blacksmithing, cooking and other displays.
Please contact Caera if you have an artistic skill that you would like to demonstrate.
Lady Caera Fitzpatrick

Research papers should be submitted electronically by May 20, 2016 to so that proper time may be given for the judges to review

One winner will be selected to be the next Settmour Swamp Arts and Science champion for the following year, and they will be required to run next year’s competition.  The winner of will be chosen by a panel of judges.

The good citizens of the Barony will also make their voices heard and there will be a prize for the Populous choice.

I would ask that the questions listed below be answered (if applicable) either in your research or in a separate sheet.

I look forward to seeing all of your wonderful arts and science projects!

Quest Auction to Support Magister Galefridus Pererginus and Lady Judith Bas Rabbi Mendel

On Sunday May 29th at Quest the Barony will be holding a silent auction from 12:00 - 4:00 to support Magister Galefridus Pererginus and Lady Judith Bas Rabbi Mendel so they may travel to England this July to present their papers that were accepted at the Leeds International Medieval Congress.  We are asking for items to be donated towards the auction.  Take a look around your house, do you have books, garb, dishes, accessories, or other items that are now collecting dust, or do you just have items you do not use anymore? Let us find them a new home.  Are you an artisan willing to donate your time or workmanship? Consider contributing a piece to support your fellow artists.

Donations can be dropped off Saturday morning or Sunday morning in the back of the covered pavilion area by the thrones to Baroness Jehannine, who will be running the auction.  If you have any questions, or want to donate something contact her at  When dropping the items off please include your name, so we know who is making the donation and what you think the item is worth, so we know where to start the bidding.
