UPDATE 5/13/16:  Due to unfortunate and uncontrollable events, the Equestrian activities have been cancelled.  We deeply regret this inconvenience.

5/11/16:  SCHEDULE!
Hastilude II Schedule:

10:00 Site opens, Artisan’s row can set up, Roving Chatelaines start
11:00 Heavy and Rapier sign in, armor inspection
11:00 – 1:00 Archery Practice / warm-up
11:30 Rapier tourney begins
12:00 K&Q Armored Combat Tournament begins
1:00 – ? Archery Tournament starts
(The time length of the tourney will be determined by the number of people participating in each tourney)
5:00ish All Tourneys complete/A&S closes
5:30 Royal & Baronial Court
8:00 Site closes, Roving Chatelaines can stop roving, Clean up.

Also, Duchess Caoilfhionn's Kids Service Initiative will be at Hastilude!

5/10/16:
Fencing inspections to start at 11:00 -- fencing tourney starts at 11:30.
Event is rain/shine.  There is no rain date.

5/2/16:  The fencing tourney will be a double elim and is sponsored by Dragonship Haven's Fencing Marshal, Don Jean Michel LeVode. 
Thrown Weapons is cancelled.
Site is dry.

4/18/16:  K&Q Tournament will start at Noon.  Inspections and sign in starts at 11:00.

Also announcing a CHALLENGE! 
To encourage period displays and finery, the Baron and Baroness of Dragonship Haven announce a Field Presence Challenge!  Decorate your space, unfurl your pennants and standards, and strategically hide signs of the modern world. 
Prizes will be awarded for
1) Best Use of Heraldry
2) Best Individual and
3) Best Group

3/29/16:  Equestrian Tourney, Archery Tourney, and Artisan's Row information have been updated.

2/22/16:  The demo is now hosting K&Q Champions of Armored Combat (formerly known as K&Q Rattan Champs).

This is a large scale event/demo showcasing a good portion of what the SCA has to offer.  We want to make a best impression on the public.  Please bring your pavilions, your finery, your standards, and banners. 

*** We are sharing the site with the Lion's Club Flea Market on Saturday until about noon.  We encourage all to be good stewards and chatelaines of the SCA.  ***

---K&Q Champions of Armored Combat Tournament---

Four pools of matched weapons forms - Glaive, great sword, weapon and shield and two weapon.  Top four from each pool will advance to the 16.  There will be no multiple entries, though you may fight and enter as many of the pools as you wish. 

Round of 16 will be each combatants choice of weapon until we are down to the finals.  If there is an odd number going in, a round robin will be fought to determine entry. 

Finals will be best of 5 matched weapons.

---Archery Tourney---
The archery tourney will be comprised of various novelty targets at unknown distances, sure to test the skills of all archers.  Practice / warm-up will begin about 11:00 am to 1:00 pm or there about.  The tournament to begin shortly after.  The time length of the tourney will be determined by the number of shooters participating.  Note.  There will be no royal rounds or loaner gear.

Two prizes will be awarded after the tourney.  First prize for highest score and the second prize to be determined by the marshal in charge.

---Artisan's Row---
This site offers a perfect opportunity for an SCA demo.  We would encourage those who are willing and able to teach or show a craft to please join us in showing our art and our hobbies off!  There is ample room to setup a period pavilion or to grab a little space under someone else's.

Service animals are allowed.  (Sorry, pets are not.)
There is no merchant space at this event.
Fires only in raised structures (the Fire Department is right next door!)
For those that are mobility challenged, the grounds are fairly flat but very spacious; there is an ample amount of walking.

Directions:

Find your best way to Connecticut.
I-84, I-95, and the Merrit Parkway all access Route 8.
(Do not use your GPS coming from 84 westbound, it will take you a very windy and confusing route.  Please follow directions below instead.)

Follow Route 8 (North or South) to exit 25.  Cross Street.

If coming South on Route 8, make a left off the exit ramp.
If coming North on Route 8, make a right off the exit ramp.

Go straight at the stop sign on Cross Street.  Follow to light (intersection with McDonalds).  At light make a right onto Route 63.  Follow 63 for approximately 4.5 miles.  Bethany Airport will be on your right (across the street from the Country Diner). 

Parking will be tight at first, due to our shared space with other functions.  We have secured additional parking as well, closer to the list field.

There is no feast or dayboard provided.  There is potable water on site.
There are plenty of restaurants around the site, as well as a Super Walmart just down the street.
