As in previous years, we will have Archery and Thrown Weapons including both competition and open range. As before we will host Fencing with a new twist this year which will include some role-playing.
This year we are also delighted to host Equestrian activities and Hounds Coursing! To participate in Equestrian, please contact Mistress Eleanor fitzPatrick at firstname.lastname@example.org. To participate in the Beltane Meet Hounds Coursing, please contact Carol at email@example.com.
It is our privilege to also host the face-off between our parent Barony of Bhakail and the newly-invested Barony of Iron Bog - their champions against ours, toe-to-toe in four disciplines: Armored Fighting, Fencing,A&S, and Archery. Following these challenges there will be both field and bridge battles to test the strength of every assembled fighter, whether bonded or mercenary, led by these two baronies. Siege Weapons and Combat Archery will be participating in these Melees. See the event web page for complete details.
The Beltane Brewing Champion and the Bhakail Baronial Brewing Champion will each be selected at Beltane by the judges alongside the Brewer's University. Learn to brew beer, mead, wine, cordials, etc. Proof of age required for any tasting.
We have Children's Activities, including May Day Races for the fleet of foot and the coordinated and cooperative, puppetry with Fum, Dragon-Slaying, and a Children's Quest. Some activities will be run by some of our more enterprising urchins.
TWO baronial courts for Their Excellencies Lorcan Dracontius and Scheherazade al-Zahira and their Excellencies Master Lawrence Thornguard and Mistress Katherine Barr of Cumberland will be held at 5pm to award winners and other business.
Merchants are welcome and space is almost unlimited. Merchants are requested to donate a small prize for the tourneys.
Ample camping space is available both Friday and Saturday nights. Fire pits will be allowed in camps, but must be attended while lit. Please bring fire extinguishers if you plan to have a fire in your encampment.
Water is available on site for solar shower bags; be aware that there are no existing structures for this purpose.
