August 23rd, 2023 – TRH Still Searching for Event Bids & Exchequer Applications!

[Shire of Quintavia, EK] – Their Royal Highnesses, Matthias (he/him) and Æsa feilinn (she/her), Prince and Princess of the East, are fresh from their return journey from Pennsic and  shifting their attention once again to their upcoming winter reign. But they need the help of the East Kingdom populace!

Firstly, they’re still in need of bids for the following kingdom-required events:

  • Rapier Champs (held in November or December, ideally, but not restricted to just those two months)
  • 12th Night (held on Sat. January 6th or Sat. January 13th, no preference)
  • A&S Champs

These events can be combined with existing events (assuming enough space, etc.). For example, an investiture event could also host A&S Champs, or a new event could host both Rapier Champs and A&S Champs, etc. Groups can also co-sponsor an event.

It’s also good practice and useful to reach out to current kingdom champions of an activity when working out a bid, such as what dates they’re available to run their tournament, and for space needs and other requirements.

Their Highnesses also want to stress that rumors are not bids. Until a bid is officially accepted and published in the Event Calendar, they encourage any and all interested parties to submit event bids.

Secondly, Their Highnesses are also still seeking additional applications for the Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer position. You don’t need to be a professional accountant, nor must you be a current or former regional deputy exchequer to apply and succeed in this role! Training will be provided for this role!
