Unto the wondrous populace of the East and unto all those intending to enter Fall Crown Tournament, do His Royal Highness, Luis de Castilla, and his inspiration, Margarita de Siena, send greetings.  As we are always looking forward to the future of the East, our thoughts turn now toward Our Crown Tournament.

Letters of Intent for the tournament must be received prior to 11:59 p.m.  on October 5, 2019, which is Coronation.  Please be aware that both the combatant and the consort must submit a joint letter of intent, either through the following link (preferred):  http://surveys.eastkingdom.org/index.php/372252?lang=en

or by email to TRH Prince Luis de Castilla and Princess Margarita de Siena, with a

copy to the Kingdom Seneschal.  If using email, the letters of intent must include all of the following information for both combatant and consort:

• Society name

• legal name

• address

• telephone number

• years of residency

Letters of Intent must be accompanied by proof of membership, including membership numbers and an expiration date that is valid for at least thirty days after Crown.  If both entrants are combatants, then that should be clearly indicated in the letter.

In addition, a statement should be included which affirms that both the combatant and consort do not have knowledge of any legal basis as to why the couple would not be able to legally cross the United States/Canadian international border for the duration of their reign.  This requirement reflects the EK Law, Section VIII, number 3c (Even years-spring Crown/Tir Mara) stating that the winners of our Crown Tournament must hold their crown tourney in Canada.

Should you wish to be granted any allowable exception to the requirements, be sure to clearly state this request in your letter of intent.

We also request that all combatants bring heraldic shields for the list trees.

We look forward to an exciting tournament, and cannot wait to meet Our Heirs!

In service to the East and Her People,

Principe Luis and Princessa Margarita

Mistress Brigitte has issued her dessert challenge!  NB:  No Chocolate in the competition due to HRM’s allergies.  No exceptions!

Entrants should bring a dessert (or desserts, you may enter more than once) to fit into:

Trews -- You can conceal much in your trews, so entries in this category with less than authoritative documentation, and perhaps not fit into a particular pre-17th C place or date.

Kilts – Kilts embrace everything without necessarily concealing.  These entries will be held to a higher degree of scrutiny, and should have full documentation and come from a particular period of pre-17th C culture.

Brigitte and her panel of judges will sample all entries, but desserts will be shared by all guests of the event!

Questions may be directed to Brigitte Flamin <111841@members.eastkingdom.org> (Christine Larsson)
