Aelfgifa of the Hazel Thicket - Raised Plait stitch from Sutton Hoo Stitch.  Is both structural and decorative.


Aelfgifa of the Hazel Thicket - Tablet weaving -doing it Wrong.  Are you scared of tablet weaving because you are afraid you will make mistakes?

Angharad verch Rees – Period knitting.  pictures of extant pieces of knitting from the 11th century to the end of the SCA period.  We will discuss what you can make for your persona's time period and location

Angharad verch Rees - Cover Your Legs.  Learn the structure of period knit stockings and see pictures of examples

Elaine Howys of Morningthrope – Goldwork.  Learn to work with Metal thread to create the beautiful gold braids seen on Elizabethan Coifs and Jackets.  Class will cover basics on Metal wrapped thread.  The different thicknesses and wrap width, and their uses.  How do to the Elizabethan plaited braid stitch (standard) and the Elizabethan Ladder braid Stitch.  And the all important trick to keeping you thread from unraveling.

Emengar la Fileresse – Sprang.  A class for experienced sprangers.  Learn to make holes and diagonals.

Emengar la Fileresse - Hare net.  Net a rabbit trap!

Mariot Carllein - Hidden Treasures.  Study museum pictures of extant embroideries almost never seen.

Morwenna O Hurlihie- Drafting and Distaff.  Taking fiber and turning it into yarn is a wonderful skill.

Morwenna O Hurlihie - Untangling Twist.  A generic troubleshooting, babbling about yarn session

Nest verch Tangwistel - Bobbin lace.  Introduction to bbbin lace.

Anastasia da Monte – Goldwork.  Couching.  The shiniest of embroidery techniques!

Anastasia da Monte – Goldwork:  Cutwork and Chipwork.  Expand your goldwork beyond couching!

Tasha Medvedeva – Hand sewing.

Tasha Medvedeva - Advanced Hand Sewing.  In-depth on period construction stitches.

Albreda Aylese – How to warp your floor or 4-shaft table loom.  Followed by all-day weaving in the entry.

Take your best Rout to I-91.  Take exit 20.  Turn left onto Middle St (0.1 mile, turn left onto Country Club Rd (1.1 mile), turn right onto Higby Rd (1.2 mile), continue onto Jackson Hill Rd (2.1 mile), turn left onto CT-157 N, church will be on the right.
