Þóra Eiriksdottir (called Thyra) started attending SCA events in 1998 or 1999, specifically the Black Rose Ball and the Market Day at Birka. She then went on an expedition to the Dominion of Myrkfaelinn (AEthelmearc) for three years, where she taught European and Middle Eastern dance and helped to run the arts and science workshops.
