Baron Ernst is known primarily as a court herald, having worked for countless kings and queens over the years. He is currently preparing to act as East Kingdom Royal Encampment Major Domo at Pennsic War 39 in 2010.
One of the high moments of his SCA career was being given the accolade of Tyger of the East, the second to receive that award since its inception when Master Harold von Auerbach was made the East Kingdom's first Tyger of the East.
