Hosted by Barony of Carolingia - Bolton, MA

Event Last Modified: September 11th, 2004

Now is the time of valor high, praiseworthy deeds and ring giver's reign.  Come brave warriors and worthy people - celebrate in the great hall of your new king and queen!

To honor Thorvald Halvorsen and Svava Thorgeirsdottir, Viking games for all ages, abilities and interests will abound at Coronation.  A rich and bountiful feast as belongs in the mead hall of a gracious leader will be prepared by Master Luke Knowlton.

The beautiful site of Coronation is being held within the boundaries of the magnanimous Shire of Quintavia with their blessing.  This is primarily an outdoor site.  Please dress accordingly for the weather.  There is limited space available for personal shelters.  Those staying for the evening should bring flashlights.

There will be NO DAYBOARD.  No food is being sold on site at lunch time.  Due to the site being used for juveniles, it is dry and non-smoking.  No cigarette or cigar butts may be left anywhere on the ground.

During the time between courts, there will be fighting, archery, thrown weapons, spear wrestling, storytelling and other activities enjoyable to a Viking.  Children's Activities will be available.  All ages are welcome, though some activities will require writing skills.  Each child must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the entire time that he or she participates in the activities.  One adult may represent more than one child.

Also during this time, gentles are invited to bring their recent work in the area of arts and sciences to be shown in a display organized by Mistress Rose Otter.  Anyone who would like a critique of their documentation should contact her prior to the event.
