At the Sign of the Dancing Fox V **UPDATED**

(At-a-Glance Event Information)

Saturday, February 8th, 2003

Hosted by Shire of Nordenhalle - Kingston, NY

Event Last Modified: February 5th, 2003

Site is BONE DRY!

Love is once again in the air as the Bhakaili Branslers perform to the delight of all at the Dancing Fox.

This year you can bribe the Branslers!

That is correct, and for the price of chocolate bars they will play a dance you love, and for even more chocolate they will play a dance which you love even if they HATE it.  Bribe them to make the kissing pauses longer.  (Or shorter.)

The day will be filled with food, fighting and fun!

Participate in our Annual "LOVE HURTS" tourney to honor the love of your life (especially if combat *is* the love of your life!) Winner of the tourney gets to declare the Queen of Love and Beauty. If no fighters show up, the Marshal will declare/be the Queen of Love and Beauty.

In addition to Brigitte Flamin's day board spread, and the delicious fare at the evening feast, there will be dancing, games, and we are introducing our new
DRESSING THE FOX

Yes, for those who like to fabricate fancy finery, a faux fox will be provided along with fabric of all types, and you will get to design period garb for your fox and enter a fashion show at the end of the day.  (You may bring your own fabric, etc.)

The winner will get a special surprize from the autocrat!

Once again we offer the
Ultimate Proposal Game

Awards for sincerity, originality, humor, guilt, and oratory.  (proposals made during the contest shall be deemed non-binding.)

There will also be an A&S display/competition with themes of love.  Categories will be:  agape, eros and philos.

Join us!  No matter what you love:  combat, fantastic food, terpsichorean pursuits or the arts, it will be a day to long cherish.

Merchants are welcome!

NB:  On board space is sold out!  Off board is available at the door.

Directions:

Take your best route to the New York State thru-way.  Kingston is exit 19 from the thru-way.  You will proceed around an aggravating traffic circle to the third exit, Col.  Chandler Drive ( I-587 ).  Chandler Drive ends at a triangular interchange, make a left at this interchange onto Albany Avenue (32).  From Albany Avenue you will take a right hand turn onto Foxhall Avenue, this turn has a light at it, and a KFC and a Stewarts.  Once on Foxhall Avenue you will cross some rail road tracks and then see a left hand turn at a blinking light.  This is Wynkoop Place.  There is a deli on the corner, The Foxhall Deli.  The Church Hall is the brick building straight in front of you, parking is on the right.  Additional parking is available at Meagher School, directly across from the church.
