| | | | | Event details | | The Barony of Bhakail would again like to invite all good gentles to our Thirty Year Anniversary Yule Revel. Join us on December 8 in a day of good food, music, and dance. We will celebrate at The Church of St Gregory the Illuminator, 8701 Ridge Avenue Phila., PA. Dress in your finest and bring your appetites. Lady Juliana von Altenfeld will prepare a hearty winter feast. Following Bhakail's tradition, the feast will begin around 2 PM. This allows plenty of time for dancing afterwards. The site is discreetly damp and will open at 10:30 am. A desert board will be served during the dancing. The site will close at Midnight.
Cost for the day is $10.00 for those not staying for the feast and $20.00 for our supper guests. We are in a large hall and should have room for all who wish to join us at the feast. Make checks payable to SCA Inc. -Barony of Bhakail. Merchants are welcome and should contact the Autocrat, Lord Roger Stockton for details.

From West, North, or Northeast of Phila.: Take your best route to the PA Turnpike. Get off at exit 25A (I-476 South). Take I476 South to exit 7, the Norristown exit. You MUST make a right turn at the top of the ramp onto Ridge Pike NORTH. IMPORTANT! YOU WANT TO GO SOUTH ON RIDGE PIKE! FOLLOW THE U-TURN SIGNS AT THE FIRST TRAFFIC LIGHT! Travel South on Ridge Pike for approximately 4.5 miles. The Church will be on Your left.
From South of Phila.: Take your best route to I-95 North and follow to I-76 West (the Schuykill Expressway). Take I-76 West to Exit 31 (Green Lane). At the bottom of the ramp, turn right and cross the river. Follow Green Lane approximately 3/4 of a mile up to the top of the hill. *
From East of Phila.: Take your best route to I-76 West (the Schuykill Expressway) and take to Exit 31 (Green Lane). At the bottom of the ramp turn right and cross the river. Follow Green Lane approximately 3/4 of a mile up to the top of the hill. *
* The top of the hill is Ridge Ave. Turn left onto Ridge Ave. and travel approx. 2.7 miles to the Henry Ave. merge. There is a U-Haul on the left and D-Boys Garden Center on the right just before the merge. Continue past the merge for another tenth of a mile. The Church will be on your right.
