As the cherry blossoms begin to bloom, we gather to gaze at their beauty and to celebrate other works of beauty created by talented artisans and craftsmen, our friends and neighbors.  Come and join us in our hana-matsuri--a festival celebrating the beauty of nature, a showcase for Arts & Sciences, and a fundraiser for the Shire of Eisental.

Anyone who wishes is invited to display their complete or in-progress arts & sciences projects (site is dry, so no brewing or vinting exhibits please).  Limited table space is available, so artisans may bring their own tables or other means of display.  To reserve tables or display space, contact the autocrat via her contact information listed below and specify whether you need a half-table, full table, or are bringing your own table or display.

Other activities will include thrown weapons, archery, period games, children's activities, an oxhide/bear pit tournament and a raffle of beautiful items to raise funds for our shire.  Those wishing to donate items to the raffle may contact the autocrat.

There will be no feast, but there will be a day-long potluck dayboard.  All who attend are encouraged to bring something for the potluck, and Eastern and western dishes are welcome.  Beverages will be provided.  Guidelines for the potluck are as follows:
Persona name (first or last) A-G snack or appetizer; H-N fruit, vegetable, or dessert; O-Z meat, fish or poultry dish.

Please include a card or note with a recipe or list of ingredients for the benefit of those with food allergies.  Questions can be directed to the autocrat.

Take 78 to 309N to 895W.  Follow 895 W to the intersection with 443 and continue going straight on 895 W.  You will cross railroad tracks and pass a gas station on your right.  Continue across a concrete bridge.  You will pass a nature store on your right.  Look ahead on your right for Church St.  (You will see a sign for Friedens Lutheran Church and should see its white steeple from the road).  Make a right onto Church St.  and follow around to the church parking lot.  Church building phone number (for those who lose their way) is 570-943-2007
