“Greetings and welcome to the Bare Blade Tavern, now kindly check your weapons at the door!"

Once again, Endewearde announces its annual Bare Blade Tavern Brawl!!!  Fencing and trickery are sure to abound in this year's event, as fencers and from across the realm vie for the right to claim the deed to the Bare Blade Tavern.

This year's fencing will feature both heavy and light rapier, so please come ready for both!  The day will feature the fencers being randomly placed on one of three pirate crews - all vying for treasure, fame and glory, but mostly treasure.  Each fencer will start out the day with only a single light weapon.  From there additional weapons may be won. 

Non-fencers will add to the fun this year as they wager on which team will win, and the bettors may have a hand in determining who has an upper hand for the next round!  Those non-fencers who wish to improve their lot in our gambling hall will have a chance to win a prize as well.

In the end there can only be one Tavern Owner, one Best Death, and (most coveted of all) one Most Treacherous Swine.  Be sure to be prepared with your most skillful, dramatic and tricky fencing tactics yet.

This year there will be a youth actives area with games and arts and crafts for the youth.

A light day board, included in the site fee, will be served for all to enjoy, menu to be announced on the Shire of Endewearde's web site

So whether or not you bear a bare blade, be sure to bear yourself to the Bare Blade Tavern!

Directions:

Take your best route to I 95 in Maine.

get of I 95 at exit 182a Route 395 towards Bangor/Brewer

get off on exit 4 at the end of the ramp take left, Route 15, stay on route 15 for about 18 mile.  You will be in the town of Bucksport, take a left onto Center Street about 1 mile take right onto Broadway just past the Bucksport High School which is on your left is Miles Lane, take left onto Miles Lane, the Middle School is at the end of the road.  Parking is on the side of the school.

This is a public school and the following rules must be adhered to. 

The school property is a smoke free zone, so no smoking on school property.

The site is very dry (no alchol may be brought on school property)

We have use of the gym, locker rooms, cafeteria and bathrooms, all other parts of the school are off limits to our guests.
