***URGENT NOTE*** TAVERN OVERNIGHT -AND- DAYTRIP ARE SOLD OUT!!!  CONTACT THEALPHAWENCH@HOTMAIL.COM WITH QUESTIONS.

*REPEAT* TAVERN IS SOLD OUT!

Too long since last Pennsic? Way too long 'til the next one? Come warm the soul and have a rowdy good time as Northpass Arms once again presents Bear's Tavern for your mid-winter merriment.  The days …uh, activities (yeah, that's it) will include the bodice lacing/un-lacing contest (with more of a twist), a boffer tournament, a tavern brawl and arm wrestling.  Think you can beat the house? Come and play our period tavern games.  Ladies, bring your sexiest chemise.  Gentlemen (and I use the term loosely) bring yer kilts for the best chemise/best legs competition

Once again THL Patrick McConville (The “Rattan Chef”) will be the commander of the kitchen and will be presenting the all day feast.  Feast food will be served throughout the day at the scheduling of the cook.  Times and availability will be posted.  Dietary concerns should be directed to Patrick Anders at patrick@pennsicwar.org You need only bring a mug or other drinking vessel, tableware will be provided onsite.

In keeping with the spirit of a Medieval Tavern, please come prepared to bribe the wenches for table service.  "Jewels", small novelties, Coin of the Realm (chocolate coin), and fake jewelry are merely some suggestions for appropriate "bribes".  Please do not offer anything you are not willing to give away.

As this is a small site, we ask that STAFF ONLY come in for set up on Friday night.  The Tavern will open for business at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 4th and will close at 11 AM on Sunday.  Anyone left at one second AFTER 11AM will be impressed into the clean-up crew.  The site is a wet one so BYOB.  Please be reminded that while children are welcomed, it is an adult themed event.  Children must be supervised at all times.

The tavern's bruiser shall collect from each overnight patron a tithe of $25 ($28 for late registration and at the door).  This offering will gain you food and drink for the day, and a solid breakfast in the morning.  It should be noted that there are only 30 beds and space for 10 more on the floor for overnighters (feel free to bring air mattresses).  Bunkroom spaces will be assigned and will be given out based upon the date pre-registration is received.

Day-trip patrons will be tithed $20 ($23 for late registration and at the door).  Because of site size restrictions, we strongly encourage ALL guests to pre-register, and provide email address (or SASE) AND phone number for confirmation.

The only reserved space is a pre-registered/paid for space.  Reservations must be postmarked no later then 2/15/06 to receive the "on-time" rates.  Please remember that the SCA non-membership fee is in effect for this event.  If you do not have proof of membership please add $3 to these prices.

To ensure a space, send your reservations directly to Ostgardr, 32 Chestnut Avenue, Glen Head, NY 11545.  Make all checks payable to "SCA, Inc.  - Ostgardr".  Please include a SASE, email address or phone # for confirmation and/or questions.  Email preferred by Troll.  Reservation questions may be addressed to Jenna at TheAlphaWench@hotmail.com.  There will be absolutely no cash refunds.  To qualify for a refund, the Autocrat or Troll must be notified of your non-attendance, a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the event; and the event must show a profit.  Refunds approved by the Seneschal of Ostgardr will be mailed, in the form of a check.

The tavern keepers for the event are Lord Thomas of Northpass (Thomas Martin) and his co-autocrats are Lord John the Bear (John Brooks) and Lady Jenna (Jacki Eckers).  General questions may be addressed to Jenna at thealphawench@hotmail.com .  Lord Thomas can be reached at Constable1@cyburban.com or at (914)528-8468 (leave a message).  John the Bear may be reached at Samuraibear1@juno.com
