|Their Royal Majesties have chosen the Barony of Dragonship Haven to host Their Crown Tourney. The site will be Warsaw Park in Ansonia – where King Darius won his first Crown Tourney. Join us for a day of combat and chivalry, fellowship and fun. The gates will open at 9 AM and the Mistress of the Lists will begin accepting entrants to the Tourney at 10 AM. The list will close at 11:30 AM. Please note that the Tourney itself will take place out-of-doors, regardless of weather, though there is an indoor area if the day is inclement. Tents are welcome onsite.|
There will be a youth combat tournament as well as an arts & sciences display. There will be a room set aside indoors for this A&S display.
The site is handicapped-accessible. Merchants are very welcome - please contact the Clerk of Merchants listed below. This site is damp – PLEASE do not leave any empties lying around. Also, the site recycles – please pay very close attention to his detail while on-site.
A hearty dayboard will be available to all, in addition to the sumptuous feast celebrating the King and Queen and Their Heirs. Questions can be directed to the Head Cook, whose contact information is below.
FUNDRAISERS FOR HURRICANE VICTIMS
There will be two rundraisers held this day. The rist will be a coin/cash collection jar located at troll to benefit the school children impacted by Hurricane Katrina. Money will be given to the Connecticut Association of Schools special Hurricane Katrina Fund to be used for school-related expenses for children, such as backpacks and school supplies, and for local school districts in the affected area. Lady Vienna has graciously agreed to coordinate the second fund-raiser on behalf of Lady Renn. This fund-raiser originally was to be hosted at the Oct 1 EKU, which was canceled. There will be a raffle of items to benefit the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina fund. Donations of A&S items for the raffle are still being accepted. Please contact Lady Vienna (contact info below) to coordinate items for auction.

Route 8 South to exit 17 (Seymour Avenue). Left onto Seymour Avenue. Take an almost immediate right onto Atwater Avenue. 0.3 miles and right onto Division Street. 0.5 miles and slight left onto Elm Street (Route 243).
*Elm Street turns into Platt Street and then Prindle Avenue and then Pulaski Highway (Stay on CT-243 approximately 1.6 miles). Site is on this road.
From the south:
Route 8 North to exit 16 (Pershing Drive/CT-334 toward Ansonia). Travel approximately 0.4 miles and turn right on Division Street. Travel approximately 0.4 miles and make a slight left onto CT-243/Elm Street.
Follow directions from * above.
From Danbury area and parts west:
I-84 East to exit 11 (CT-34 towards Derby/New Haven). Follow CT-34 approximately 14.1 miles and turn left on CT-115/Derby Avenue. Follow CT-115 approximately 0.8 miles then make a slight right onto CT-243 East/Elm Street. Follow directions from * above.
From the Hartford area and parts northeast:
I-91South toward New Haven to exit 17 (CT-15 South/Wilbur Cross Parkway). Approximately 21.8 miles later, take exit 58 onto CT-34 West/Derby Avenue/Derby Turnpike. Approximately 0.8 miles – right onto Sodom Lane. Approximately 0.4 miles turn right onto Marshall Lane. Approximately 0.9 miles and take a slight right onto Schumacher Drive. Approximately 0.0 miles and turn right onto CT-243/Pulaski Highway.
Site is approximately 0.1 miles ahead.
