Feast of Fools
(At-a-Glance Event Information)
Saturday, May 7th, 2005
Hosted by Shire of Mountain Freehold - Moretown, VT
Event Last Modified: April 19th, 2005
Freeholders and friends are invited to our Fool's Feast and Bizarre Bazaar, to be held Saturday, May 7, in Moretown, Vt.
The day's foolish amusements will include a distance spitting contest, period gambling games (Gluckshaus and Tablero), some comical races, prooie (a fun blindfold game), and a barter/giveaway bazaar for SCA-related items you may no longer want or need. Master Roibhilin will run a Foolish Tourney for our amusement, as well.
Beans will be used as prizes and enticements throughout the day. Be sure to bring a pouch to hold your winnings! Whoever ends up with the most beans, just before the start of the feast, will win a mathom. (Don't know what a mathom is? You'll find out!)
There will be no lunchboard, but anybody who wants to make food ahead of time and sell it on site is welcome to do so (the kitchen will not be available.)
