Rulings and Interpretations from the Society Equestrian Officer
These are the SEO's interpretations of the Society rulings as of the dates per ruling. Any of these rulings can and may be superceded by more more recent interpretations.

Minors Waivers
Any minor participating in equestrian activities must have their parent or legal guardian sign for the minor on the adult equestrian waiver (general or State specific, whichever is used by adults at the event/practice). Where the waiver says "Legal name", write "<parent's name> as parent/legal guardian on behalf of <minor's name>", and then have the parent sign.

Effective April 24, 2007, Mu’allemah Yaasamiin al-Raqqasa al-'Alaa'iiyiyya OL, OP

Adult Waivers:
Ordering an Equestrian Insurance Certificate is mandatory for parades and demos where horses and riders are representing the SCA. When ordering the Insurance Certificate, use the name and address of the sponsor of the parade. Signs and waivers must be used in the following manner:

-upon arrival to the parade site
-display the warning sign in your tacking up area.
This alerts the public they're on their own if they try getting under foot/hoof. SCA riders and crew shall sign the waiver prior to mounting and departing for the parade. The waiver sign should be left at the tacking up area.
