2007 Events Summaries & Scores Panteria

Before too much time passes and another Panteria fades into our fond memories, I want to say thank you to all who were able to attend and participate. We had 7 horses, six of which competed successfully and 9 venants, one of whom had to withdraw. A smaller than usual crowd for us , but enjoyable none the less. Special thanks to Duchess Anna Ophelia Holloway Tarragon who played our Lady of the Garland with grace and flare. To our herald Mistress Brita for patiently announcing all venants and challenges and reading out riddles 'et nauseum' ;-) Thank you to our ground crew Duchess Katharine and Lady Mylisant who kept the show running smoothly throughout. And vivats to our youth ,Lady Lillian Stanhope and Lady Franqueite du Grandchamp, for their inductions into the Order of Gawain. Further congratulations to our Tournament winner Lady Alanna, to our winner of the Berfrois's Choice for Horsemanship Baron Duncan and the winner of the "Horsey-Go-Fast" Award Lady Kiena Stewart (whose "A game" is always firmly in place). A great time was had amid the sprinkles of rain on Sunday as we practiced for the first time mounted cavalry manuevers. Present for that was Lady Kiena Stewart (who directed us), Lady Fiona, Duke Brion Uriel Tarragon and myself. We look forward to further practices and developments in this endeavor. I look forward to seeing you all at Midsummer's in 8 days.

Happy Trails, Mistress Ellen du Grandchamp.

Midsummers

Thank you to all who participated, riders and ground crew! It was our goal to present a challenging but fun tournament that both riders and spectators would enjoy. Based on what I saw, and heard, I think Her Grace and I achieved that. Having Horses in court WAS AWESOME! Special thanks to Lady Sylvia and her husband Lord Vey (spelling?) for ground crewing the tournament - you both were a huge help! Thank you as well to Lady Isabelle and Baroness Rufinia for MoLing the tournament. Humoungus thanks Lord Uilleam for the construction of the Double Quintain. Thank you as well to those riders who participated in Sunday's Mounted Combat workshop. We had gorgeous weather and it seems to me that we all enjoyed the day. We have new Mounted Archery, Light Combat and Joust authorized riders. Thank You to Master Julian for coming out to help authorize for the Mounted Light Combat and Joust.
