|Long do we wait for the winter to subside, for the ice to melt free the gates of that grand fortress and prepare for the coming season of war! Though this year we lack the winter and ice, war is still coming to the kingdom and we gather for Jehan’s Fencing and Fighting at the Fort.|

The challenge: Broaden your horizons.
What this means is that we are not looking for master works here. I want everyone, both new and vetted, to step outside of their comfort zone and try something they have never done before. The sky is the limit here folks!
There will be four categories, and a winner for each category. The categories will be: fiber arts, metal/woodworking, scribal, and misc (to include, but not be limited to, food and beverage entries). A populace vote will determine the challenge winners.
Documentation will not be of the typical variety for this challenge. Instead of mountains of research and references, you will only need to answer a few simple questions (i.e. why you chose the medium you did, how you made it, what you would do differently, and if you will continue to explore this new art). A form will be available at a later date to simplify the submission process.
There is no dayboard planned for the event.
Pets (on a leash 4 feet or shorter) are welcome throughout the Fort, the Fort grounds, and the Visitor's Center. Pets are not allowed in the Penobscot Narrows Observatory and may not be left in a car unattended.
