The manner of each contest has been established by the reigning champions and has been duly pronounced and posted at www.kqchamps.org .

King and Queen's Bardic Competition

King Brion and Queen Anna will select their Bardic Champions based on a three-round competition.  Competitors will be judged by Their Majesties and the current Champions, along with an advisory committee, on choice of material, artistic impression, audience impact, technical skill, and individual response.

Questions regarding the competition format or requirements should be directed to the current Queen’s Bard, Mistress Alys Mackyntoich, via email at alys.mackyntoich@gmail.com.  Mistress Alys is not on Facebook, but Lady Aethelflied Brewbane, the King’s Bard is, and will answer questions arising in that forum.

***For the first time this year, we are asking those intending to compete to pre-register with Mistress Alys, the Queen’s Bard, by sending her an email at alys.mackyntoich@gmail.com.  Emails must be received by midnight on February 6, 2017 if you wish to compete.  The email need only contain your name and a statement of intent.***

Youth A&S Display

To encourage the young artisans of our kingdom, there will be space set aside for youth to display any A&S projects they are working on.  Youth will be able to set up their entries early on in the day, and a half hour window will be set aside for youth to stand by their entries and talk to the populace.

If your child is intending to display, it is requested, but not at all required, that you, or your child, e-mail our youth A&S coordinator Lady Aibhilin inghean Ui Phaidin (erislp@gmail.com).  Space will be available for all youth entries and Lady Aibhilin will be available during the day to act as a guide to youth wishing to display their work.

All youth attending the event will also be given a few tokens which they can leave by their favorite A&S entries as a mark of their favor.  These tokens may be picked up from gate, or from the youth A&S coordinator.

As a reminder, this display space is available for youth entries only.  Adults wishing to show off their fabulous and amazing works are asked to register for and enter the competition.
