|Lady of the Rose Tourney
||Event date: September 20th, 2014|
|Hosted by Barony of Bergental - Feeding Hills, MA||Event Last Modified: August 25th, 2014|
|The Ladies of the Rose welcome one and all to celebrate a time of romance, honor, and chivalry, by joining them for the pageantry that will be the Lady of the Rose Tourney on September 20, 2014, in the Barony of Bergental. Each Lady of the Rose is assembling her team, to do honorable battle in her name. All team members must be chosen from outside her own household. Each team shall consist of 1 belted fighter, 2 non-belts, a Golden Rapier (or the equivalent), 2 non-OGR's, and a Herald. Fighters that have not been selected for a team, fear not, bring your armor and we will find a noble place for those who wish to fight. |
For our young combatants, there will be youth combat and instruction throughout the day, concluding in a Grand Melee before their Majesties and the Ladies of the Rose prior to the end of the tourney.
Along with the Martial activities of the day, there will be an Arts & Sciences display where the populace will bestow tokens upon the artists they like most. There will be a "People's Choice" prize awarded to the artist with the most tokens at the end of the day.
In an effort to provide a period tournament feel to the event, you are encouraged to bring your banners, your flags, and your best Heraldic display. Only period pavilions will be allowed to encircle the tourney field. If you would like to reserve space for your tent or canopy, on the first perimeter, please specify such and include the dimensions with your paid reservation. All other will be first come first serve basis.
